Relay for Life
Relay for Life is a wonderful way to give back to our community while raising money to help find a cure for cancer. The youth group's participation with the Relay organization has become an annual event.
Beach Project
The youth group took part in keeping Volusia County beaches beautiful. We built fences and placed fencing along the sand dunes. These fences will help restore the sand dunes and enhance the coastal habitat.
Vacation Bible School
The St. James Youth participated in opening and closing sessions, led the different groups to each station, managed the games rotation and were available to lend a helping hand wherever needed. The youth group had a fun time and did an excellent job leading the children of the community.
Universal Studios - Rock the Universe
Rock the Universe is a weekend that celebrates youth and their faith. Groups from all over the country partake in this weekend. Rock the Universe is an awesome weekend with Christian's celebrating God's love.
St. James Octoberfest
This event was for the entire St. James community and the youth did a tremendous job leading many of the activities.
Operation Caring Through Sharing
This is our second year with the outreach project called Caring Through Sharing. The project coordinates the collection and distribution of food boxes to needy families in our community. Each month the youth group collects food for a family with one parent and five children. This is an excellent way for us to stay connected in our community.
