Lay Eucharistic Visitors

Do you know someone who is unable to come to worship on Sunday? Lay Eucharistic Visitors are lay people who are licensed by the Diocese of Central Florida to take Communion after the Celebration of Holy Eucharist to members of the congregation who, because of illness or infirmity, were unable to be present at the Celebration.

This ministry is a vital step in helping embody and emphasize the reality of the church as a community. At St. James, LEVS go out in teams of two after the 7:45 a.m. Service and after the 10:15 a.m. Service. Without exception, those ministering feel as blessed as those they visit. If this is a ministry that may be of interest to you or for more information, email Judy Mathis at jmathis@stjamesormondbeach.com.
