Monday Chapel
PK3 - Grade 5
8:30-9:00

Monday chapel engages students through singing, puppetry and a short object lesson. Our monthly character trait is reviewed and students from each grade help lead the singing.The 5^th graders have various opportunities to serve as leaders. This service is led by the school Chaplain. 

Wednesday, 8:30 AM
 

Wednesday Eucharist is celebrated and this midweek service brings students and faculty together to worship.  We follow the Book of Common Prayer.  The middle school students serve as readers and acolytes. This service is lead by the Rector and Deacon at the Church.

 

Preschool Praise

PK3-Kindergarten 

8:30-9:00

 

Friday morning begins with our littlest ones singing and hearing God's stories.  The service takes place in the small chapel.  The students are active participants!  The Chaplain leads this service.

  

Convocation

(The Last Wednesday of every month) 

Once a month students gather in the church for our Convocation Service.  This is a bit livelier with Student Showcase and Student Spotlight.  Students in Grades 3-8 share by playing a musical instrument, reading their own story or acting out a short skit.  Students are also recognized for their outstanding achievements outside of the classroom like scoring the winning run for their sports team, volunteering in their community or simply celebrating the birth of a sibling.

  

St. James strives to build a community where all students are accepted and their individualities nurtured.  Through these weekly chapels services and Christian Education classes' student gain a better understanding of God's immeasurable love for us all.
